"I loved the food here! The schweinebraten was amazing, and the Cordon Bleu was also really good. There are some fish options for vegetarians, and I did love the indoor area. There is an outdoor patio in the street as well as a small indoor area. I do recommend reservations, we got the last non-reserved table before lunch. The food is to die for, and I do recommend coming here for lunch before a long day in Heidelberg."

"Rustic place with traditional German home-style cuisine. Indoor seating is pretty crammed; outdoor seating is on a small cobblestone square next to a church and the Neckar river and has a nice athmosphere. The service is good and the food is even better!"

"Great dinner, possibly one of the best I'd had in Germany. The pork neck was tender and moist, served with fried onions and potatoes, ignoring the calories, it was delicious."

"Food was delicious, one of the best rump steaks (and pepper sauce) I have had in a long time. Hubby had schnitzel with cream and mushroom sauce, son had schnitzel with chilli pepper sauce. They loved theirs too, and they agree best meal for a long time. We all could not resist the Apple strudel, tasty, with ice cream and cream. Excellent service, pleasant staff, did not have to wait too long. The restaurant had a busy Friday night ahead but staff managed to find an early table. Atmosphere was a lovely setting, rustic interior, friendly, not too noisy, pleasant background chatter."
